I fell in love with Chicago visiting it for the first time as an adult, from Allstate Arena to SkyDeck to Riverwalk to the Magnificent Mile, and of course, the Bean and deep dish Chicago pizza. And in that spirit, I also defend Chicago and other American cities against charges that they are hellscapes of crime.
